We accept the following devices, which can have a new life with users who can use them, or with vendors who can reuse their parts to make new devices cheaper and easier to obtain:
Cell Phones
Laptops
Tablets
Headphones
Cameras

Laptop batteries
Chargers, battery packs, cables/cords
Microphones
Headsets
Small speakers

We do not recycle TV's, microwaves, appliances or other plug in items like VCR's.

Please ask anyone donating to sign out of any personal accounts possible, particularly Apple ID and iCloud.
Once a phone has been Apple, Google or otherwise locked it is permanent unless removed by the original user. We donate many phones to 911 programs and they are unable to use them to access the apps that support them through the program like V.I.N.E., resources like food pantry's, utilities, housing & legal services if they are locked.
Apple:
It's super easy to sign out of your iPhone, iPad, watch, etc. Just go to settings, click on your name, scroll all the way down and select "sign out"

Personal privacy is more important than ever as more of our lives move online. Most people conduct their online lives through their phones. With all that information about you on your old phone, it’s no wonder you’d prefer that data end up in a landfill rather than in the hands of someone else.
Never fear — Green Squared guarantees the destruction of 100% of any personal data that might remain on your recycled phone. We go over every electronic device we receive with a fine-toothed comb to make sure it receives our Certified Data Destruction Guarantee.
Through this thorough and careful process, we permanently erase all data. With three cycles of complete deletion that follow strict Department of Defense guidelines, you’re guaranteed to be safe when you send your phone to us.
And when you or your organization receives a phone cleaned, refurbished, tested, and charged by Green Squared, you can be confident that you have a factory-reset product in your hands.

Once you have as many electronic devices that you want to recycle or sell collected as you can, you can print a FedEx or UPS label directly from our site here, Shipping Label (there’s a short video tutorial to help you along) but it’s seriously as easy as checking out online.
Just enter your name, address, best phone number, email address, the name of your business/organization or "Household" if you're an individual, and the number of boxes you have.
FedEx will weigh all boxes for you so no need to enter a weight.
For UPS, just enter your best guestimate in the weight area and select Print, Email from the dropdown menu.
Example, if you think the box weighs 15 lbs just enter 15 in the box.
If you have more than one box, click "Add" and then enter the weight for the second package.
Please keep all boxes under 30-40lbs and tape the corners and edges up really well as they can get squished when they get stacked on top of each other.
Last, write the tracking number anywhere on the outside of the box for backup in case the label gets damaged during shipping.
We'll let you know when your package arrives safely.
If you get caught up, Feel free to call me and I’m happy to walk you through it.
We will process them in 1-4 weeks depending on the amount of items received and get you the most money for your cell phones (or other devices).

We all know and understand the crucial importance of having a safe and convenient way to call 911. At Green Squared, we partner with shelters, organizations, and law enforcement departments to provide 911 phones to those in need, free of charge.
Even the most basic phones can find new life as emergency devices. Since 1998 the FCC has mandated that any wireless connected phone must have the ability to call 911.
Green Squared is dedicated to making the best of this capability delivering these phones into the hands of those who need them the most.
However, following the closure of 3G towers in 2022, most Victim Advocate programs found themselves with very few, or no, remaining working 911 phones. This significant gap has resulted in a substantial nationwide demand fro 911 phones, escalating the necessity for involvement and support from all that have the means to help provide 4G+ phones. Every phone you send helps; irrespective of subscription status or bill payment, a signal is all that's needed to dial 911.
A last line of defense is only worthwhile if it functions reliably when required. That’s why we meticulously test every phone. We ensure that each cell phone is in tact, operational, unlocked for direct 911 calls, and is thoroughly wiped of data. Our phones arrive sanitized, fully charged, and individually packaged with a charger for emergency use.
If you are associated with a victim advocate program, women's shelter, or other organization aimed at helping victims of violence, domestic and sexual abuse, reach out to our team today to learn how we can help. We'd be honored to explain the program, answer any questions you have, and help you get started.

You can find plenty of vendors who’ll accept your old phones and other devices and pay cash for them. We won’t pretend that we’re the only provider on the market.
But we’re the right choice. We guarantee recycling throughout the buyback process. Not just for your devices but for our shipping labels, packing materials, and packaging. Everything we use is recycled afterward according to the most stringent EPA and state guidelines.
We call it our zero-landfill pledge.
This pledge guarantees that when you recycle through Green Squared, you do more than break even — you have a net positive impact on the environment.

Cell phone recycling for cash provides a higher return on investment for everyone involved — because it’s the right thing to do.
We work directly with vendors who need the parts we offer. Unlike an auction house, which takes more time and sells in bulk wholesale without care for the individual components, we know what vendors want and are more than ready to get it to them right away.
When Green Squared cuts the middleman out of the equation, we also take out shipping costs and listing fees. With fewer people taking a cut of earnings for your devices, we get you the most money in your pocket for your phone— and the biggest reward for doing the right thing.

If phones, tablets or laptops power up, are signed out of, and are able to make a test call or function as expected, they will qualify for payment.
Phones that are in good condition and free from glaring defects such as water damage, cracked screens, missing or non-functional buttons, etc will generate a higher payment for those looking to sell them.
Phones with defects may be accepted for payment or recycling depending on condition. Please send all the batteries and any other accessories (like chargers, headsets, bluetooth accessories, etc.) you collect to us to be properly recycled.
People also often have additional batteries and these should be included with the phones as well.

The uncertainty surrounding a phone's history and its potential contagions is like a journey through a microscopic zoo, and let's face it, you did not sign up for that safari!
At Green Squared, we make the well-being and safety of individuals, both personal and within the workforce, a top priority given that the current climate, and minimizing exposure to contagious germs, has gained heightened significance. All donated devices go through a comprehensive sanitization process, relieving you and your employees of potential exposure and the burden of allocating time and resources towards handling them.
We offer touch-free delivery services with both FedEx and UPS that require minimal packaging and handling, reduce contact points, and align with sustainability practices by reusing or recycling all shipping and packaging materials.

Running the best “cell phone recycling for cash” operation is just one of the ways that Green Squared gives back to the community. Our cell phone disposal and buyback service also helps us support causes important to you and close to our hearts.
We believe in empowering individuals and businesses alike to use their decommissioned equipment and the funds gained from it as a force for good. We are happy to provide emergency 911 phones to Victim's Advocate programs, Women and Children's Centers, and to Military or Veteran's Groups.
When recycling, you can allow the benefits and earnings to pass on to the nonprofit or charitable program of your choice.
